this has been a crummy snakeweek

    hey,
started off crummy, right from the beginning, with my 6 ft. Bullsnake dying,on Sunday(I guess he had enough of watching those dreadful Chicago Bears),then on Monday, our Daughter #3,walking home from the bus stop, found a 15" W.Plains Gartersnake laying in the ditch, all busted up,
Gartersnake vs. lawnmower=,well we've been working on it dressing it's wounds, keeping it warm, giving it water, yesterday,we kind of thought ,it had a chance, but wasn't the case,it died last night.
Ending on a good note, the baby W.Plains my Daughter #3,rescued from under the paws of a neighborhood cat, afew week ago, attacked it's first worm!possibly ate a second,so thing are looking up,for this little one

    what a hard week
sorry about all the losses, especially the bull snake, which you've probably had for quite a time
glad your baby is eating and hopefully the trend is toward better snake weeks

I know garters only as pets and all native reptiles are so rare that it is a little adventure to see one at all.
    Sorr for your loss, Joe.

So sorry for the loss of your bullsnake!! :-( And you certainly at least tried with the garter... which is all you can do. I hope the other one continues to improve and things go up from here!!!!

So sorry to hear about the loss of your bullsnake, and the injured garter; it is very frustrating when you try to help an injured animal and it just doesn't work. But best of luck with the little one!

Sorry to hear of your loss. I would cry like a little girl if I lost my pit. My suggestion is to get a new one. That deafening hiss makes my heart warm.

Sorry to hear about your crumby week, Joe. Shame about the Bullsnake. At least you tried with the Garter, snake versus lawnmower.... not a fair fight!
