Searching for a lady friend...

Hey guys- when I first caught my male I had a 2.5 HEFTY female as well... unfortunitally I made the mistake of giving it to my buddy that really wanted a snake.... (ik, how cool am I) but now I'm trying to locate another female snake- The male is a red striped. I'm not looking for anyone one species in particular, Just a "companion" for him (not LOOKING to breed... but if they do i'll find a place for em

POINT BEING- I'm in Milwaukee Wisconsin and i've called all 26 ____ing pet shops and NOBODY carries these bad boys I'd hike around for a new buddy.... but I caught both them up north Does anyone know a pet store in the midwest area, or another source for these obvioulsy overlooked snakes?? thanks VERY much in advance I really wanna give this guy a cagemate- I just feel like a douche leaving him alone sometimes

hey Jake,
where a hour or so south of you,only thing you'll find around here is Plains garter snakes and once in awhile a eastern,but time is running out,with winter approaching ,keep in mind,anything that can be caught in state,cannot be sold,this is why your not finding anything at the LPS's,and gartersnakes in general our not popular,so their not kept in stock,you'll have to find a reptile show,one in DuPage County,next month,or Lake County in November (none scheduled for Oct.,note I purchased a Yellow Rat from a dealer last month,If he can remember,he's goning to try a bring some eastern's and afew red-sided,at the Nov.,show for me to look at(under the table,sh!!sh!!)

wow... thats awesome flakrunner- you'll have to keep me posted on that show man, i'd much rather ride down to illinois to get one picked by myself than some mail order stuff- Not to mention I REALLY would not mind getting a purdy rat snake of some sort If their some sort of a scedule or site for these shows????
