    New from Oregon!

New to the forum. Pointed in to the forum from a fb group member.

Garter snakes have been my favorite snake since I was a kid. I used to catch and release them all the time in southern Oregon. I kept one for a few weeks once named him spice. Fed him fish fry we caught in the same location I found him. But released him along with another snake we caught. My brother caught a very large female but she became overly attached to him... She would follow him up our driveway (lived in the country so it was a long dirt road). Was kind of adorable. He carried her around in a baby blanket (he was 7yrs old)

But one of my other brothers played a mean trick on him and took her out and released her. (We don't know where cuz he would never tell us... I hope she was ok)

Been researching them alot this past year and my husband finally gave me permission to get a few in may-June for my birthday =). So gonna be lurking and reading alot from now on.
