Question Is it Ethical to Feed Snakes Live, Wild Animals?

I live near a ravine, so there is plenty of wildlife around me. Recently, I've discovered a robin's nest and a mouse nest with babies inside. Is it ethical to take some baby mice/robins and feed them to my snake? I'm conflicted because, on one hand, animals are going to die to the snake either way, but the ones in the wild are alive and living, instead of being frozen. Any help is appreciated. Thanksss~~~

Well, I'm a Robin(Turdus migratorius) lover and see them as a songbird so I guess you know where I stand on that. As for the overall picture I'd say no. Parasites are a big risk and momma mouse can eat some pretty toxic stuff and pass it to her babies. Too many safe foods out there. Just my opinion.
