    From Alaska

Hi~I am brand new to snakes, I would have NEVER considered having a pet snake! Until I meet my first Garder snake, I fell in love. I am housing one ribbon and 2 baby albino checkerboard cuties. I own a tropical fish store, my staff talked me into bringing the garders in. I'm learning all I can and I'm happy I found this place. The ribbon is in a 36x36 Exo Terra planted. The 2 babies are in 18x18 ZooMed, getting fat on guppies.

Welcome! The proper name is "garter" many people call them garder or garden snakes lol. the scientific name for your checkereds are "Thamnophis marcianus". I would like to see photos of them if you are able to post cause we have been having trouble with that feature lately. As Steve said, feel free to ask questions. There are many experienced keepers/breeders on this forum. Are you feeding them just guppies? If not, what other food items are you offering? The care sheet Steve linked has a list of safe fish and other food options.
