    2016 Albino checkered....

This morning I opened my albino checkered females tub and found that she is giving birth. I can't even count how many bc the hatchlings are all over the tub. Honestly, it looks like a number in the high 30's. Two years ago she delivered 24. Post pics later when she is done dropping. I will do a comparison photo as well in the patterning difference of the albino pastel checkered.

Counted 36 scrubs. No deformities, deaths, or abnormalities in any that I see right now. One scrub was still in the sac but was able to push through when I switched him over to the new tub. He is in the middle of the tub.

33 albino checkereds, 3 super albino checkereds total of 36 scrubs. The first pic at 8:00 shows what i believe is a super albino checkered. There are 3 of those in this litter. Scrub that was stuck inside the amniotic membrane finally made it all the way out. He seems to be doing okay.

The difference i see in the albino pastel checkered and the albino checkered are here: Darker overall hue to the body in the albino pastel and the longer markings to the back of the head and dorsal region just behind the head. Also, the more irregular spotted markings throughout the laterals, dorsals are less checkerboard like. The albino checkered has a lighter overall hue with more squared checkerboarding. The head markings are less sharp and more of a squared off appearance. The striping is also less apparent in the albino checkered. Here are the visual examples of each.Albino pastel checkered on top. Albino checkered on the bottom (top pic). Super albino checkered speaks for itself in the bottom picture. A all white snake with minimal visible markings and very little coloration.

Thanks Speed! You have Mr. Steven Bol out in your neck of the woods though. Google him and i am sure he will have something special for you. He is one of the "garter snake pioneers". He has amazing animals in his collection. Good luck with contacting him.

Thanks Albert, but he doesn't have albino checkered garters.
I have been to him and saw his collection. It was amazing!
He is the breeder I got my two virgatenuis from.

He said that about putting them together.

Got it! Steve is a garter snake pioneer who is very reputable and his word is not to be taken lightly. I would just like him to expound on it.

Yeah I'd also like an explanation, I mailed him.
Maybe it's all a misunderstanding, we'll see what he has to say.
    And otherwise time will tell.

I made a purchase on what he said back then, so I''m fairly sure about what he said.
