never seen this pattern on my easterns before

These were offspring of a W/C erythristic eastern garter. ive never seen a regular ery eastern garter and cant find normal pics of any that havent been crossed with other garters. but ive never caught or seen any with this pattern. any thoughts? think they will end up being normal? or do you think they will start to show some of the red after a few sheds? and the pattern looks so unfamiliar to me. yup me= newb lol

In my opinion they look like they will color up nice! When I hold back baby ery's for myself I pick out babies with that color and pattern! You got a good deal on those guys!

thnx a bunch! in RI we mostly just get plain old easterns that are mostly green and the occasional checkered. these were more of a tan/brown color with quite different markings than im used to. i cant wait for them to get big.

They are not just snakes. They're garter snakes.

Yeah they have like no striping on them. this is why i had asked my original question. they barely even have the start of a dorsal(?) stripe starting at their head. was just curious. i love them just the same
