    Hey!

I found this site through poking around a couple different reptile forums and I couldn't help but join!
I've always loved garter snakes and water snakes of any kind, and have recently decided to try my hand at breeding. I currently have 4 Black Necked Garters that I'm anticipating a batch or two of babies from next year. I've always been interested in genetics as it pertains to domestic pet breeding, and I'm really looking forward to expanding my knowledge on tham breeding.

    Welcome aboard!

Do you have Eastern or Western Blacknecks? In my experience they tend to either eat like pigs for a few months, or spend months without eating, so be prepared for some long fasting periods.

Westerns, though I'd love to get my hands on an eastern.
I have two that are voracious- my largest female and my smallest male. The other two are really picky and like to ignore the food for a few weeks at a time.

I'll have some pics up at some point this week- my cam is broken, so I'll need to borrow one.
