    silversides?

I see lots of people feed silversides but my garters wont eat them(2 infernalis 1 eastern) I have tried putting other food in (worms, pinks) but they wont even look at it. I bought a 5lb frozen block at a pet store, sealed, look fresh,i dont get it they will eat guppies and trout fillet, heart and liver, sometimes before the dish hits the bottom of the cage.

Keep trying. All of mine will eat smelt (I think that what you call silversides are the same as smelt).
My infernalis wolf down anything, but I remember they were a bit hesitant the first time I offered smelt, they didn't get anything else instead and accepted it at the next feed.

Yes i think they are the same: almost clear with a silver ribbon on each side. They smell like they are in saltwater. Its no biggie i just like to feed a wide range and silvers are cheaper than pinks. Thanks for your input!
