    Hello everyone!

I have a young garter snake (approximately 8-9 inches long) named Buck (after an adventurous weasel in Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs). He's beautifully colored in bold black, bright yellow, and striking red. I've had him for five days and he's eaten one small fish so far. I look forward to being part of your community.
The name's Buck. Short for Buckminster. Long for Buh.

He ate a small feeder guppy. Here's a picture of him!

Also, is it important for a garter snake to be housed with a cagemate, or will they be happy on their own?
