    New Baby!

Can you guess what my husband's wedding/birthday gift to me was? Yeah, it was a baby garter snake. I got a baby albino Eastern who will be Harley's future boyfriend yesterday, and today he ate his first meal of three chunks of silverside from my hand!
I'll get pictures up once I find my camera charger, because the reptile room has been fully organized and functional for a week now and I have yet to actually unpack all my things (priorities).
After only two days, he's already nearly given me a heart attack. I had turned his tank inside out and didn't see him. After I was convinced he had managed to break physics and escape from his cage, I picked up the silk flower that I put in his cage and found him curled up in the petals.

Also, his name is Sithis. If anyone has played the elder-scrolls games, it might right a bell. If not, it's still a really cool snakey-sounding name. I was going to wait until I had pictures to post this, but I had to share that I've apparently reached the point that when people are giving me gifts, the first thing that comes to mind is 'snakes'.
