garters in the uK

Hello
Are there any Garter breeders in the UK who might be able to help me. I am shooting a factual drama series for Animal Planet at the moment and we need to take a few shots of garters in a (fake set which we will build) wall cavity of a house. Does anyone know where I can get a hold of a lot of garter snakes to use for the shot. We do have some budget to pay for this.

What series? How do you intend to portray snakes?

I'm pretty sure most people here dislike Animal Planet quite a bit, so I doubt you're going to get very far in terms of that.

There aren't too many people that would have enough of a single species to help you (although you don't define what you mean by lots of garters - I don't consider that I have lots, others might, Steve wouldn't ). Presumably you're looking for a whole bunch of sirtarlis or radix to film a fake scene showing a house invaded by garters?
And I don't suppose importers or shops will be o* much help as garters aren't exactly commonly stocked, and shops/importers would have young snakes.
You're also unlikely to get anyone coming forward without knowing that you plan to show garters in a favourable light.
