Help us sex 3 September babies

Here are the pictures of the 3 babies that we have. I would like to know how y'all can tell from a photo males from females, and at what age is it safe to pop a garter?

At this point I would say you have 3 females. Posting photos again in 6 months should nail it down.
Young snakes can be tricky as some develop that "tail look" as they mature.

I agree 3 females. What kind of garters are they?

3 for 3! I say it looks like 3 females as well. Harder to tell without more clear, straight on pics but looks that way to me.

Looks like 3 females to me too. Can some one put up the diagram from the bible that shows the difference between males and females? It's something you learn to see...females have a definite tapering after the vent (cloaca) that males do not have. The tapering on those look pretty evident, although as Steve pointed out...babies can fool you sometimes. I still cannot definitively discern the sex of my babies who are a little over two months. Can't answer your question about popping...someone else will have to answer that.

Here is the thread Steve referred me to when I was asking about sexing my snake: http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/bree...xing-pics.html

Not from the garter bible, but may help
