    Virkon?

Ok this product has been around for a long time and l've always used it to good affect.
Its a powerful broad spectrum virucidal disinfectant that you can use on everything safely.
It comes in a power form that you dilute in luke warm water and use after cleaning, you can even bath your snakes in it.
l'm surprised that its not more commonly known than it is,it can be hard to trace in England and l was just wondering if anyone in America use's it?
P/S just in-case you ask no l do not own any shares in Antec International who make it,but if they want to send me any free stock l'd be up for that

It's usually available at most Farm/Equestrian/Estate supply shops. Pkts and Tubs are available but it ain't cheap in the larger quantities.

So do you use it?it can be expensive to buy but it lasts for ages so in the long run l think that it works out cheaper than anything else in the market

Ive used antec Virkon S for years with the birds but F10 is better for them it has more uses and you don't have to remove them from their quaters to use it. It can also be used as a vapour for RI's so should be safe for Snakes. ;-) The trouble with Virkon S is that it requires a 15min contact time for it to be effective. So I think I'll be sticking with F10 for the time being.

It's pretty popular here. I have some, but I haven't used it.

what l like about it is that you can use it on everything including water bowls and leave it wet and put your snakes back in totally safely,if l buy a new snake l make a weak bath and dunk the snake in before putting the new snake in one of my rubs or vivs

I've never heard of it before. I'm using beaphar's deep clean as a disinfectant for my day to day and monthly full viv clean, it doesn't need to be rinsed off and doesn't break the bank. I still default to a 10% bleach solution for a 'full on' clean.
Keeping - 'Florida blue' sirtalis, concinnus, infernalis, parietalis, radix, marcianus and ocellatus.

We used to use it ( Verkon S ) on the Game Farm to disinfect all the equipment, Drinkers, water lines, feed hoppers, Egg trays, Everything. But everything was left to soak for a minimum 15 mins. I think it does say it somewhere in the instructions?
