    Is this a garter snake?

I originally thought it was a garter snake, now I'm thinking it is a young gopher snake. It is about 14" long. Judges?

My ID skills are complete crap (so you probably want to wait for someone else to chime in), but it doesn't look like a garter.

I guess I don't feel stupid for not knowing. People with much more snake ID skills are having a tough time with it.
    Thanks for the help.

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

looks like a bull snake... gopher snakes aren't the same as bulls, different subspecies.
