Hi I've had one for a couple months now and he is my favorite. The ambient temp. in his cage is between 75f and 80f with a hot spot around 85f to 88f, the humidity stays around 50%. This has worked very well for me indeed. He eats pinkys but will only take frequent small meals. He could easily take 2 or 3 small pinkys but he only takes 1 twice a week. He seems to soak in his dish alot. When I first got him he was eating fish like crazy but then I learned about vitamin b defiency and decided to switch all my garters to rodents.

these are coming from south east Asia.
And live a little wetter,not the bottom,but the air.
They lay eggs,and eat the same as the Thamnophissen

males mixximum 55 cm,females max. 75 cm.

Very nice looking. I've seen a few dealers have had them on their list lately. Do you know if you have a pair or not? I'd be interested in how they breed.

I'm no expert on these, but its my understanding that these are rear-fanged and venomous, though they're very good natured and rarely bite. I have no idea how harmful their venom is. Maybe it's as mild as the garter's. Who knows? Just wanted to share the info so you could investigate, if you choose. Please let us know if you find any more info or need to correct anything I've said. Take care,
