    Question Hibernation and Breeding Questions

Hi just a few questions for y'all.

    1) is hibernation needed to get garters to breed?
    2) are there any species that readily breed without hibernation producing viable offspring?
    3) how long do you hibernate for?
    4) what temps do you hibernate at?
    5) where do you put your snakes during hibernation?(loft, bathroom etc)

    Thanks

My answers are from my experience as a keeper
1)- Not required, but it does trigger breeding
2)- Some of my Easterns Sirtalis have
3)- 6 to 8 weeks, I bring the males out a week before the females
    4)- 45 to 50 F
5)- The crawl space under my house. It's nice and dark and never falls below freezing.

    1) it's not needed, but greater chances of breeding if they do hibernate. I had wanderings together for years with no breeding done.
    2) not that I know of....
    3) mine are hibernated for 3 months
    4) 40-50
    5) in my garage
