Shedding

I have a baby gartersnake that had a problem shedding. There was a piece that looked like it was cutting off his tail right before his opening. I got it off but there was some blood so I put on neosporin. Will this hurt my snake and is the damage already done since it was before his opening?

Sounds like you've done all you can do at this point.
Check it from day to day but he will probably be fine.

I just went and checked on him and he had a bm so thats a good sign. I tried to take pics but I couldn't get a good shot. Thanks for responding.
