Size or not it's not worth it to either of them. Fights happen and they could get injured. I wouldn't recommend it.

They are not just snakes. They're garter snakes.

    Re: quick help

definitely could be some fighting...if the lizard is bigger than the snake, he might try eating the snake

Size doesn't matter that much, a smaller animal may still try to attack a larger and even if doesn't succeed, it may still injure the other animal or at least cause it unnecessary pain and stress.

Fence lizards are pretty laid back unless you... try to catch/eat them. I dont think there would be problems, but it is an unnecessary risk. The snake might have delusions of grandeur (it is funny when snakes obviously have those) and natricines are probably pretty high up there in their tendency to over-estimate what they can eat. If that happens your snake could get the crap kicked out of him.

That is the nationally accepted scientific term.

also known as opening a can of whoop a**.

An interesting addition about lizards. I caught a geko in my yard last night after moving a tarp. took a minute to catch, but after catching it relaxed and decided it wanted to hang out. It sat on my hand for about 30 minutes relaxing and then decided to jump on my shirt and climbed up on my shoulder.

Even running down the street to chase my dog after she decided to run out the fenced in back yard it just stayed there. Took me 20 minutes of trying to put it down to finally get it off of me.

(it didn't want anything to do with my wife. might have had to do with the fact that she just spent 20 minutes holding the snake just moments earlier)
