First babies of the year, or not...

Well, i got all excited as my female banded water snake started giving birth, i'd suspected she may be gravid by her recent weight gain and appetite increase.

But it seems the babies are all still born, she's had 2 so far, perfectly formed but both dead. They seem very big for babies, bigger than the baby water snakes i bought earlier in the year.


It is her very fisrt litter and im wondering if she is late having them looking at their size.

Am gonna watch her for the rest of the night and see if she has any more.

Unfortunately, she hasn't had anymore babies. Im a little disappointed and sad about the ones she did have. But I guess it was expected to not be great, first litter and all. Hopefully it'll be better next time
