Protected Species.
Hi Guys,
There has been much talk recently about the various State/National laws pertaining to the trade in protected Garter Snake species. KITKAT has made tremendous in-roads into her article http://www.thamnophis.com/caresheets...tions_by_State , and several species falling into this category have cropped up and been discussed on the forum.
Just a gentle reminder to us all, to check our State or Country laws before asking for or offering any protected species. Whilst we seem like a close and friendly community here, there are innumerable "guests" viewing this forum all the time. You never know who is reading your posts, they're available for the whole world to see.
Obviously I know that none of our members would knowingly break the law, and of course Thamnophis.com would never condone the illegal trade in endangered or protected reptile species. Let's just make sure we know that what we are buying/selling/trading is legal in the areas in which we live.

Yeah I agree with Roy, though I don't believe any illegal trade or things like that has gone on yet, our forum is growing unbelievably fast which is bound to cause some kind of state to state or country to country legal problems with buying and selling garters.

Sorry, been busy at the lab. Hopefully this week I'll have time to scan them (I've only got a hard copy.....thought I had a PDF, but can't find it!!!!) and send them out to be posted with the others.
