She (random gender pronoun assignment for now, as I have no idea) is now all settled in! Scared as hell, of course--I didn't know snakes could jump when startled. Now I do.

I saw those! I'll try to get pics soon, but I'm trying to leave the poor thing alone for a few days. If she's settled enough to eat for me today then I'll try by the end of the week.
I keep catching her with her head peeking out but if I try to come closer she NOPES right outta there and back under the paper towels.

I have a couple of pics--they aren't ideal! But it was quite the interesting time even getting the little bugger in my hand...and then I had to hold her awkwardly over her home, lest she make (another) mad dash for freedom. I'll try to get better ones some other time.
