Cool! doesn't look quite like a live display...look at the tail on the wandering... little ridge running down it. very accurate looking snake tho... was either molded from one or taxidermied specimen. love the color on the plains too! would love a few like that!

Good spot Don. The wandering has a couple of ridges, so I make you right. The plains looks quite real in the photo, but the closeup of the wandering does give it away.

These aren't live, although they do have a researcher with live local snakes who gives educational presentations sometimes. A few snakes in this display are obviously taxidermies, but a few look like accurately-painted molds or toys. My female plains looks like the one shown here so it must be a local thing.
