my garter unexpectantly had a baby about a week ago...she's small for her age and there was only one little guy who has been doing well.

WELL, I just went to feed her (she hasn't eaten in a couple weeks ) and she's sitting on her rock with lots of dead babies!! There are at least four ones...and they don't look properly formed. Eekk, not a site I expected to see!

I'm going to remove them without disrupting her and hope she's able to pass them all and recover okay.

I took a picture of them...they looked well-formed in a way, but still within a jelly-sac....I will not post it here though, in case its too much for some people. :-/

Any care tips for mom? There's a heat pad in the tank, but I have a basking light I could install on top as well. I offered her food last night anyway, but she still hasn't eaten. Meanwhile, the lone survivor just wolfed down another worm piece.

Great to hear the little lone wolf is eating. That is a very special little scrub you have there. I'm sure we would all love to see a picture.
