    feeding - eating

Okay, so I have had my 1 garter & 2 deakyi's for over a month & half. I have never seen any of them eat... well they have been eating but I was not preparing the food correctly.

Until the other night... after reading several more posts. On all the ways everyone feeds theirs, Shannon's feeding vid, etc...
so I took 2 nightcrawlers, cut in half. so there is 4. 3 were eaten.
I caught Kyle after he ate, he had a bulge. & before he ate, Brownie ate one, he had a bulge too.

Today I see Mikey, who I was worried about.... eat a worm!! YAY!!!!
All 3 are over 11 inches long. I weigh & measure my snakies, reptiles every month. HABIT!! I am going to get more pinkies & see if they will eat those.
I know Wayne said Dekayi's may not eat the pinkies. I also will offer some cut up salmon.

    I am just happy...
    Stephanie

Congrats! Knowing that they aren't eating is one of the scariest things there is. I know how that is, we all do. I know you must be so relieved!

Gald to hear that you now know they are all eating. I keep 35 to 40 all the time and for my peace of mind, it's worth the extra time to feed each individually so I know what and how much each eat.

If you get them to eat anything aside from slugs / snails / worms make sure to take pictures and share them

Not saying it's impossible, Just never seen it happen.

    Good news, Stephanie!
Even if you know they're eating, it's always more reassuring to see it for yourself.
