uvb lighting
i was just wondering who uses the uvb along with the basking lighting?

I use CFL bulbs that emit some UVB. Not that they need it, but the lights are cheaper in the long run and I like the "color" of the light. I can actually get some relatively decent photos without too much color distortion. I don't expect that the UVB is harmful, just not necessary.

Snakes don't need it.
2 tanks have it, and 1 overhead shop light has it
Petco had the long fluorescent tubes on clearance for 3 bucks, bought them all just because they were cheap replacement light bulbs.
I like the color...
