Re: just some pics
That's cool. I wanted to do the same thing with my feeding series. One picture doesn't capture the event like series of pictures . Thanks for sharing.

These pictures were taken two days ago. Notice how there's a slight cloudiness to his eyes. When I checked on him today, his eyes were completely clouded over. He was a recent purchase, so I can't wait to see his coloration after his shed!

The trick with the nylon fishing line... Do you do that to prevent that the food gets covered with bark?

Not really. I always serve their food in white seashells. It seems to condition them to know when food is coming, and it helps to keep their food clean. The bark is large enough that they don't swallow it, though. I just like goofing off with the snakes . I do the fishing line trick sometimes just to make them chase the "moving" prey around their pens. I also like to make their food twitch a little bit as if it's struggling to get away. It's just something fun to do ).
Try it sometime. I just thread the fishing line through the meat with a sewing needle. Then you can either tie a single knot at the end, or you can kink the fishing line to make a "V" shape several inches before the tip. The food sits in the "V." Then you provide a little bit of motion... just enough to get their attention. Too much motion before they've decided to commit can scare them away, though.

Maybe I will try this next spring. I ´ve stopped feeding them since one week.
I feed them normally with a pair of tweezers and let them "hunt" the food too.
