    Thamnophis sirtalis semifasciatus (Chicago garter)

    Picked up a trio of these last week. Lovely snakes, bit skitty in the viv but not to bad once out. Any one else keep these? First time I have seen them in uk or Europe .

    I am. Next year I will be producing *fingers crossed* green axanthic chicago easterns as well as green axanthic hypos

    jeff benfer has some pictures of the green and the hypo but as far as I know the combo hasn't been done

    I catch a bunch..have kept some....ive seen some pretty ones. Like most thamnohis they are extremely varable.

    They're on my list of 'must own at least once'
    Keeping - 'Florida blue' sirtalis, concinnus, infernalis, parietalis, radix, marcianus and ocellatus.
