    Smile Hello from Denver

It is great to be part of the forum. I have learned a lot by reading the comments posted here. My kids (ages 11 and 8) and I have had two wandering garters (Thamnophis elegans vagrans) for quite a while and just recently found two beautiful plains garters (thamnophis radix). We are soooo excited about them and have gotten all of the neighborhood kids interested in snakes. Here are some pictures.

Hi and welcome to our forum family! Lovely snakes and lovely son! I have also been getting the neighborhood children and adults interested in snakes. Of course, now they bring every snake they find to me!

Wish I could get my son to hold our snakes. He loves them and talks to them through the tanks...but he still gets scared in terms of handling them.
