White tip of tongue :/

I posted awhile ago about my concerns for Manny's health and the fact he wasn't flicking his tongue out, I had taken him to the vet and was given some antibiotics for him to clear up an infection in the mouth, he livened up very fast and started flicking his tongue again with in days.

My concern now is that the tip of his tongue is white and stuck together, I've heard that an RI would be the problem that causes the tips of his tongue to stick together but there are no other sign to show that and the vet would have said so, right?

I am taking him back again soon because he has also developed a lump on the right side of his neck, as you can see in this picture:

His neck was swollen from the mouth infection and went down but now just the lump on the right side has stayed, it's doesn't feel hard or sharp, what could it be?!?!

Has anyone else experienced this before? He's eating fine and as lively as ever, is it just remnants of the mouth infection? Or signs the infection hasn't completely gone?

The tongue looks like its a stuck shed. Has he shed recently?Snakey's tongue has done that, and the shed came off when he flicked his tongue against my hand. I would definitely ask the vet about it, though.

He has shed twice since he started his meds eight weeks ago, both complete and with out any trouble.

How would it get stuck on his tongue?

I wish there was some way to get him to stick his tongue out long enough and still enough to have a close look, somehow I don't think he'd do as he's told if I asked him HA HA

They shed their tongues too, it's just so small that you wouldn't really notice it. I've only seen a tongue shed in person twice, and I rarely hear about it anywhere else.

Well it could be something else, i would take him t the vet just to be sure it's not a shed. It should come off on it's own, snakey got his off just from flicking his tongue onto my finger.

I had no clue they shed their tongues either!

I don't know a huge amount about garter anatomy, but a lot of animals have glands in the neck just below the jaw. The first thing I thought of when I saw his neck was a swollen lymph node... When I've seen that in other animals it's sometimes because the gland itself is infected, or sometimes due to an infection nearby (like if his mouth was still infected or something?).
Don't know if that's helpful, but it's one of the only times I've seen swelling on just one side of an animal's neck.
