Hi at all
after a long time, iīm back with a question.
I think one of my San Francisco garters is gravid.
What do you mean????

Looks like there is some significant scale spread on both of those snakes.

thats right, i hope that i can get little san franciscos this year. Last year i got only 4 babys and one died minutes after birth in my hands. that was very hard for me..

Yup....it's illegal to own them here. Federally protected. I wish I had some though...beautiful. And fiesty!

I liked that article in the second link. They should let serious breeders and herpetoculturists own them in limited numbers in the U.S....just my opinion. I know, I know...but it's just my opinion.

It's a good one Marnie. At this point our Government is doing nothing to help these snakes survive. Even if it is in a captive situation.

Serious snake lovers may be the only chance these snakes have to survive. They would be better off in captivity with someone who knew how to take care of a snake like that and give it a good life and a fighting chance at survival....considering what they are facing in the wild right now.
