thanks, their feeding responce is aggresive, these guys yank their food from the tongs...couple more pics

Now I just read in the Ecology and Evolution book that this type of garter does not like handling...are you finding that to be true Joe?

the day after i posted the pic in your thread, i found the female belly up :( they were quarantined and the male still is. i was told they had been treated for parasites, but most likely not. i'll see how he does for a few months. if he's alive and well i'll probably just give him away to a local herp society member or i just might keep him. they have beautiful faces and bellies. a shame these are such a pain to keep going.

if i was able to seperate them from my garters (like an outside building)i would get a buch and work with them and establish them the same way they did with manderan ratsnakes...it would be worth it
