May 2012 bring much happiness and prosperity to everyone! How will you ring in the new year?
My honey and I will be popping a bottle of sparkling wine and watching tv (romantic, I know.... :D)

It's just another day for me as well. Though, I might do a shot of dragon fruit vodka... Or add it to my ginger ale. Other than that, my day is going to be spent with my boyfriend... Likely him making me play Portal and laughing at my failure of a brain. :D

Kids are having a sleepover. Maybe 10 extra bodies in the house.
I'll have to force myself to stay awake past midnight.:D

We're just heading over to friends house (we go there every year, this year their girls are old enough to stay up) to eat, beat the rest of Maria's family at Trivial Pursuit, I'll have _a_ drink because Char doesn't drive and we need to get home. So it should be a good evening, we may even make it to midnight.
Have a good night everyone (and good luck Steve, kids sleeping over, you'll need it).

I will watch the music shows on t.v. with my son and eat some seafood and hopefully some fondue...then watch the ball drop and if I can stay awake maybe call Steve on skype and see how he is holding up with the sleepover!
Tomorrow we will watch the parades and my son and I were going to go to Longwood Gardens...which is this really beautiful outdoor/indoor flower/plant garden display that they do up for Christmas every year...but I will have to see how I am feeling with this virus...

All the best everyone ;)
I'll just be having a quiet one as I'll be driving to the airport at about 7am tomorrow. So, a lot of this evening will be packing, checking, fretting over Fawn, etc ... I will toast the new year in with a sherry at midnight though ;)

LOL well happy new years all!! I was the designated driver :) as always lol I drove up to the city, all around, got half lost, ended up at a sketchy house party n dragged my drunk arsed friends out of there and before I was 5 mins out the drive way all I could hear was snoring lol Oh such amusement on the night of new years eve... I at least got to see some fireworks on the way home.. I'm normally out cold by 9pm so it was a late night when we got home at 1am... It was a challenge to wake up the one guy in the back seat, lol but I wasn't going to let anyone sleep out in the car n freeze their unmentionables lol.
All in all it was a .. interesting night, was good though, getting directions where to go by a couple of inebriated guys, lol It's a good thing I got a good enough sense of direction to get us home :P
Welcome 2012!

Cuz I got to stay up as long as wanted which turned out to be until 6:00 in the morning Lol

And i second that Marnie ....as i said earlier i was working but i seem to be fighting off some kind of bug so i wasn't at my best [personality wise] so by three am i had had enough of ferrying drunks about [they don't usually bother me] and went home,.... i think it is dengue fever or perhaps bubonic plague,it could be that really nasty strain of malaria but my wife says it's the sniffles..... bloody women what do they know, i'm dying here and what sympathy do i get...zilch....bloody women

Poor John...it's most likely ebola or necrotizing fasciitis...your skin will probably start to rot off soon...and your wife will wish that she had listened to you. I hear that those are going around in your area right now.

do you know what Marnie? now that i think about it, my symptoms do more resemble the diseases you mentioned......at last a woman who understands me:)

It's because I am going to be a nurse John...I study these things you know...well that and I watch House all the time...they seem to have diseases like that popping up all the time on those medical shows...so if it's on t.v. it must be real...I figure. Some guy had necrotizing fasciitis on a House episode I saw...so that must be what you have! I think I can remember the treatment...we just have to cut off some of your limbs before it spreads...

do you think that might be enough to convince the missus that i'm a very sick man:(
EasternGirl

Probably...but not "sick man" in the way you want her to see you. You may find yourself being carted off by the men in the white coats...but she will definitely think you are a very sick man...lol.
