I thought I would post a link to the European Garter Snake Association.
Some of our forum members belong to the association and are also board (Steering Committee) members.

Just thought a thread with a link would be easier for members and visitors to find.

Yeah, they put out a periodical titled (when translated to English) "The Garter Snake". It goes out to all the members.

Automatic English-German translation is pretty bad. Google Translate does work but as soon as you start throwing in a few Latin names and scientific terms it starts to struggle.

Polish to English, (and perhaps visa/versa) forget about it. Half the stuff you put in there results in English sentences that often contain a derogatory word for women that sell their bodies, and worse. Liable to get yourself into trouble.
A long time ago I typed in "Thank you very much" and translated to Spanish. You know what it said? "Gracias mucho" gimmie a break.
