Thamnophis elegans vagrans-people with your ticklists put these on your list cuz more people need to have them, they are cool. Also captive breeding efforts of this species need to be increased

Boy I'll say!! I wish I had more room in the vivs. I would get one or two of those, and a couple natrix.

Yeah, those are the ones I like. Whether it be easterns or vagrans. I like the light colored "hypo" looking ones with "pastel" colors.

I will never get that whole fascination with colorless snakes.

Which one of these is the least ugly?

They're all from the same clutch, by the way.

I haven't asked the current owners for permission to post these pictures. I know at least one of them visits this forum occasionally, so if the owner sees this, just let me know and I'll take your picture down.

I'd blame selective breeding, if I didn't know what their grandparents looked like.

None of them are ugly at all, but if I had to chose only one, the darkest one wrapped around the plant would be my choice.

Lately I seem to be drawn more to the darker colours.

Not colorless, Stefan. Jeez. I just prefer the light colored ones with high contrast. This one of Don's (at least I think it's one of his) is appealing to me. Yours, not so much.

But they are colorless and the contrast is low. That's the color that you get when you turn up the brightness and turn down the contrast and saturation.

This one here is another example of a colorless snake:

Well whatever, you get my point. I like ones with cleaner light-colored base color and contrasting dark spots.
