I'm new to garters but not new to snakes. I've been keeping snakes (mainly pythons and boas, although I've had a couple of colubrids) since the mid-90's but did take a long break when my long time favorite (a ball python) passed away. I've recently been able to put my grief for her aside and have began keeping snakes again. Currently my collection includes 3 ball pythons, 2 albino burms, and 2 dumerils boas, but want to keep something a little different and smaller than my norm.

I've been interested in garters for a couple of months now. I've bookmarked a couple of good care sheets I've found but I can never have enough info. Inferalis has mentioned this forum several times and decided to join since I'm ready to purchase one.

Anyway, enough of my rambling.....HELLO EVERYONE! :D I look forward to learning more and sharing experiences with you guys!

I just love the graphics (see not so much of a luddite) and the weather checks John. It was sunny in Coventry too today.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I was looking at purchasing an albino checkered but since I heard about the Natrix I'd love to get a couple of them! I've already messaged Sirtalis about them. Soon I'll have some new editions! :D

Welcome! Dumerils are my favorite boa! :)

I've only had common red tails and I've only had the dumeril girls for about a month now (rescued them) and they're my favorite boa so far! Can't believe how meek and tame they are! They have such sweet temperments. They're about 4 years old and about 5ft long so I didn't get to learn them as babies. Couldn't ask for a more docile lap pet lol

I miss my Dums! They are amazing snakes! My redtails were all very sweet too though! Always wanted a Rosy but never had one! :)
