Eastern from northwestern illinois, i normally find semifasciatus or radix so it was nice to see sirtalis

Thanks for the habitat pic. I am always curious to see where other types of garters choose to hang out.

:D I love snakes and everything about them. Started when I was kid at my great grandma's house. She had a farm and across the creek was untouched land filled with garters!!

this is one of my favorite spots to herp, where the road tees w the tracks i have found fox snakes, northern waters, and easterns garters. Productive little spot

Looks like a perfect spot. If it was in concinnus' range, there'd be tons of them in that type of habitat.
