I guess it will be quite difficult for some to take a picture of their neighbourhood...an example...this is where I live...not really a street or anything...

Of course Google Earth didn't have accurate enough shots of my neighborhood(s).

So I threw together a quick 360 montage of where I study, taken from the exact spot where I found the toad last night.
That's my school (about half a dozen buildings) on the other side of the fence, that's my car and the house in the last two shots is where I live 5 days a week.

I like to consider it my own personal limbo. :D

Fortunately, I'll only be living there for another 3 or 4 weeks. :)

Hi All, I've started this thread on the suggestion of a couple of other members. It's a chance to show us all where you live! I have moved one or two posts from another thread, just to kick things off a bit.:)

Does anybody know how to take pictures of the screen on your Microsoft computer?

Stefan-A
05-17-2007, 03:08 PM
Alt + Print Screen (Prt Scr) does the job. Then just choose Paste in whatever program you use to edit pictures.

OK, I'll take a picture on google earth later since my comp has issues. There aren't any real pictures of it, but here it is Winnetka, Illinois - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winnetka%2C_Illinois)

Here is another really good thread that "died" come on let's wake it back up.

I have some nice photos taken from airplanes, I'll put them up soon.

Here is an old one, before I built the race track. The coloured lines represent where the tracks are now. The field is where we are holding the world meeting.

If you look close, there are paths around the place, long before the tracks were built.

Here it is again.... The "tax map" view, all the green part is my land, and where we shall gather in July:D

The satellite picture is only part of it, I still keep going after the creek that is not shown in the top photo.

The neighbor with the wraparound driveway is the biggest pest I know, and I own half of that driveway.

And this picture shows (the big circle) where I find a lot of garter snakes. The Barn and camper are mine too.

Occasionally in these two locations:

And in the summer usually in either of these locations.

Well, I have been visiting those spots regularly for the last 30 years. :D The sightings accumulate. ;)

It seems that we're going to have a couple of mild winters in a row and to top it off, last year was great vole year.

Ever seen one of those diawa mini rigs, the one that only takes like 4-6 lb test line?

I think mine is still in the basement of the cottage, with one of those, even a bluegill seems like a big pike.

With all the google earth going on, try "Waneta Lake" in New York

I have seen a lot of small ones, but the one I use for perch uses a 0.20 mm line (we usually go by diameter rather than strength), about twice as strong as that line.

OK Shanley, Here's why...

The original owner gave her son a small lot to put a house on (Purple) then when she sold it to my grandparents she gave her son some extra land first(light blue) and then cut a 3 acre lot off for herself(yellow)

Then after 2 years she sold the yellow lot (wish I could get it back). The couple who own the yellow lot have been trying for six years to shut down my track. They don't seem to care much for the noise:rolleyes:

I will say this much, the bigger part behind the house is my favourite place on earth, I want my ashes spread out there when I'm gone.

Having fun with google earth. Here is the summer home, Now my daughter's primary residence. Notice the huge willow trees hanging over the beach. (The monster estate next door is a million dollar home, The owner rents out rooms for several hundred a week)

http://www.danceswithreptiles.com/cars/cottage_1.jpg

Now the whole lake, this is where I water ski....

http://www.danceswithreptiles.com/cars/wlake.jpg

now for my fellow angler Stefan, A couple of my favourite fishing spots.

The island is easy to get to in a canoe...(James:D)

http://www.danceswithreptiles.com/cars/red_bank.jpg

The fishing is excellent in the canal and the cove at the mouth, weed beds are quite thick so predators hang and wait to ambush prey.
