My adult has been eating again lately, but this last week, I've been trying deworm him, but he won't eat normal. He'll grab the food, and let go or spit it out. Today, he smelled the food, and just kept opening and closing his mouth. Like when they realign their jaws, except he hadn't eaten, and he did it several times, whenever the food is near. Then he went behind his leaves, and I heard this squeaky noises... he stuck his head out and kept doing what looked like sneezing. Actually, it looked more like hic-ups.. He did it repeatedly, just making squeaky noises, and hic-upping/ sneezing.
Seems fine, but it's kinda worrisome. Any thoughts on what it is?

Hm... If he keeps doing that you might want to take him to a vet or something. If it's some sort of respiratory infection it'd be better to catch it and cure it before it gets set in.

I would raise the temperature. 90s if possible. I have heard doing that helps them fight off the infection.

Well, in the hot side at least. I wouldn't force him to be in 90s every moment of the day. It helps raise their metabolism.

Alright, I have an old "reptile heat bulb" I stopped using when I saw that it reached the 90s so I'll use that.

Should he continue to feed him? I know sometimes people will stop feeding if a snake is sick or injured so they can put more energy into healing, but his hasn't been eating well. Just wondering if continuing to feed would be a good or bad idea..

Yes yes what she said! Besides the sneezing that's another thing. Like I said, he opens his mouth an closes it a bunch and looks like he kinda wants to grab the food but cant...

Or so I thought. How can I make it warmer? I thought this bulb was hotter!

What wattage is it? I use a 100 watt for my frog, and his temps can easily get into the 90's if I don't watch it. Also, can you get the lamp so that it is positioned above the cage and aimed down through the screen top? I've noticed that seems to make a bigger difference than just having it aimed through the glass.

Yes through the top. Its less than 100 watts I think.. I guess I'll get one o' dem.
