I really like Carefresh Ultra. Problem is, its expensive locally, so I did some searching and found a place on line that sells the big 50 liter bags for $12.99 Here is a link for anyone else who may be looking for a deal. I just placed a small order of 2 bags to make sure they come in safe and sound, but if all works out, I will probably continue to buy here as its the cheapest I have found. With shipping, it was like $17 per bag for 2 bags, but went down to about $15 a bag when you buy 4. Beats $24.99 per bag at Petco and Petsmart!!!

Sweet! I personally don't like the unnatural white look, but that's a deal!

Not too long ago, at my store we had the deal of the century. The large bales of carefresh (regular, not ultra) for $9.98!!! It retails for $17.98 regularly at our store, but at most, it sells for closer to $22. I prefer the regular carefresh for a couple reasons, I'm not fond of the white color of the ultra, but also, if you read the fine print, the large bale of carefresh regular has a lot more packed into it than the same size bale of ultra. You end up paying a lot more money, for considerably less bedding. I already find the regular prices of all carefresh products to be highway robbery, but at $9.98 a bale even I ended up buying 5 bales for myself! The price you found on the carefresh ultra is extremely competitive, but the shipping kills it a bit :( It goes on sale at my store for that price shipped, but then again i don't use ultra. Normally I use newspaper pellet but have not bought any more of it because I am pregnant and it's too heavy to move around in bulk (especially on cage cleaning day when i fill a 55 gallon trash can with bedding) So right now, it's aspen shavings and carefresh!

I prefer the ultra because of the white color. I know its not natural, but 90% of my animals are captive bred and know nothing of nature anyways. This also gives me a better idea of stool coloration, as well as any bugs that may be in the tub, or trying to get into my snake enclosures. I also like the smoother and softer feel of the ultra.
My allergies will not permit me to use any aspen, too much for me to handle. :D I beleive the ultra is 50 liters and the regular is 60 liters in a big bag. I agree its highway robbery, but its for the snakes, so they get it!!! ;) The website I listed sells the basic carefrsh for $9.99 as well.

Hey Jason thanks for posting that link, I ordered last week a 50 liter from them and got it yesterday. I think I will be signing up for their auto-ship program which offers a discount. I just cleaned and changed everyone's enclosure to carefresh ultra and they seem to like it.
