the last time I posted about my CA red-sided garter snakes they were just taking pinky parts scented with fish... one feeding after that they took unscented parts, and thanks to the bags of extra small pinky mice I got from rodentpro I was able to get them both on pinks on the next feeding. My male and female both take 2 pinkies per meal now and are hungry every other day, this isn't the best pic but I think he's about a foot and a half away from the pic being good lol. also there's a blurry pic of the female attacking a live pinkie, I was surprised when both of them did not hesitate to take down live pinkies as well...

and here's a lousy shot of some blackbelly garter snakes from central america... little anaconda lookalikes, as soon as I put fish in the bowl they come out from under the substrate and go straight in the bowl. I keep a 1.2 group in a tub in my hatchling snake rack... I figure they're probably alright like this until at least spring. in the pic you can see the smallest of the group with a fish bulge in it, the two bigger snakes both ate 5 rosies each.

Hey Mike, nice snakes. a little OT but I know this will interest you. a young friend of mine from CT found a t+ albino northern ringneck last week. apparently he already has the snake eating too... along with a small group of other ringnecks he's been keeping. He showed me a picture of it so I know it's legit... small but not an adult, maybe 9 inches long? A few scars, for obvious reasons too.

That's pretty cool Shannon, I haven't heard of a ringneck morph being found since 2009... I'm glad the snake's eating, hopefully he'll have some success with it.

I too would like to see a picture Shannon.

I haven't kept ringneck snakes in a couple years and I'm currently about to get back into them... only because Striped ringneck snakes are toooo sweet. :)

My male CA red sided shed today so before he got his usual 2 pinkies I got a new pic of him.
