Hey guys!! Neil here again. Finally got around to taking some shots of mom and the babies. Just to recap, 9 healthy babies! 4 het albino and 5 albino. One of the little hets is missing an eye and has a few kinks towards the end of his body. Eats like a champ and is normal in every other way! Named the little scrub Winky ;) Also got 2 babies in the litter that were considerably lighter than the rest. They also have an abnormal pattern on their supralabials. Babies are all doing good and chowing down on scented pinks. Mom was only 2 years old if that!!! I was amazed to find this batch of little ones! Anyways, I have done enough talking! Time for some pictures!!!

Oh by the way... one of the lighter babies is in the third photo. Anyone have thoughts on him?

Nice looking babies :) Can you get a good photo of the one with the funny eye? I have a soft-spot for animals that have stuff slightly wrong with them but can still live life well.

To me he looks like a normal, just lighter, checkered... but I'm not good with checkered "morphs".

Try putting him somewhere, covering him completely with your hand for a minute, until he stops moving, and lift it. He should be sitting still, allowing you to take some steady close ups.
Works for me.

Some of my best shots are by doing this.

Weird... yeah, I can see it!
Try macro, If your camera allows it, it'll make it much clearer.;) (the little flower symbol. Took me awhile to learn about that too)

I really like those special snakes that are born sometimes.

The lighter coloured one could be a "Pastel" which is like a hype but it's been concluded that there called Pastels. Here's a pic of a couple of the pastels that i got this year.

The one that's further to the right is a normal het albino. And the other 2 are the Pastels.
Shannon (asnakelovinbabe) could tell you better then i can.

That's what I thought, but I thought pastels had some kinda head markings... like I said, dunno about checkered morphs.
Yeah, Shannon is the one to ask. She's the checkered guru!

They have markings under their eyes I believe, is what Shannon said.

Your babies look wonderful. Love the name for your little guy missing his eye!

My baby looks just like your pastels. And yes they do have a different marking. It is on the scales of the upper "lip" or the supralabials. I read the thread about Shannon's pastels a while back and I believe I have something similar to this. I guess I just have to wait for her to give me an opinion!

I'll post the link to the thread on my babies, shannon posted the difference between them there.

Steve and redsidedspr: Yes the unique babies always have a special place in my heart. I plan on keeping Winky as long as he is alive :) Such a blessing that he is healthy otherwise.
Katach: Thanks. I thought it suited the little fellow!

Nick, thanks for posting that link. The babies I have are a perfect match to the pictures of Shannon's pastels. Looks like I hit the odds! (whatever those are!)

Glad you're keeping Winky (cute name btw). The different ones end up meaning more than the perfect specimens sometimes ;)
