Shape and size is like a slug but it's very dark for any slugs I've ever seen.

But, but how many french slugs have you seen?:p
Why the heck would it be in the cage if it were a slug... unless he grabbed a bunch of ground litter from outside and threw it in the cage...

I think he means a slug as in a birth slug, undeveloped egg kind of thing.

That's what I was thinking too. What we often call jellies or jelly beans. I've never seen one, other than in pics, though.

Yeah, everyone calls them something different, but yeah.

So it's an undeveloped baby snake?

No, it's an unfertilized egg.

What's strange about this one is the color.
I've seen them yellow, cream, and amber but never something as dark as this.
Now I understand Jesse's statement, "unless he grabbed a bunch of ground litter from outside and threw it in the cage... "
Had me scratching my bald head for awhile.

It still has me confused. I think its the painkillers (I got dry socket in two of the wisdom teeth areas, so I was put on stronger painkillers)

I'm only guessing but I think Jesse though it was a slug(garden pest) that had been put in the enclousre and then dryed out.
Not a unfertilized egg(slug)

Now I feel like a complete, total, idiot. That's exactly what I thought.
Obviously the breeding lingo hasn't quite sunk in yet. I knew the term (even though it was missused here) but yeah, I just heard "slug" so I thought "SLUG"... I also had just been talking about real slugs in another thread..
Nevermind. Whatever.

Admitting it is a big step toward adulthood.
I feel that way on a daily bases.
I'm getting used to it.:D

Haha, don't worry, when he said slug I thought the same thing. I thought 'that looks like an unfertilized egg, not a slug'... And it took me way longer than it should've to figure out what people were talking about. :p

The reason it is so dark is because it has been in her way to long. I have seen this before. There may be more to come

Thanks Ed.
That's information we all can use.
