During late July, two of the guests at the Butler B&B presented us with Lovely clutches of little ones.
Trax, the skinny and much battered reddish colored Butler gave birth to seven thriving little ones. They are all eating and growing rapidly, and show off the same outgoing, laid back attitude of their mother.
They like to spend their days sunning, just like mama.

About 5 days later Sang thrilled the kids at my sons Montessori school summer program by delivering seven wiggly little squiggles. An eighth, deformed baby was found dead in the moist hide when the cage was cleaned. All seven survivors are eating and doing well, although they are nowhere near as large, vigorous or outgoing as Trax's babies.

If I were one of those little snakes I'd try to get on the highest spot possible too! Cute!

Grats on the litter :)

Kantar- The thing I most love about the Butlers is that they, for the most part, like to spend their days laying out visible on their branches. They are much more of a 'display' snake than any of the other garters I have had in my keeping.

Steve- These are the little ones I hope to send your way once the weather is less brutal. I'm very pleased with the way the older ones are eating and behaving. The younger batch are still kinda iffy, but I'm hoping they will catch up and relax as they get a bit of growth on them. Their mama Sang is a real sweetheart who has won the hearts of all the kids at 'her' school.

Looking forward to their arrival. I think they will do well here.;)
