Picking up a 40gal. glass tank for $30 later today!! The snake should be pretty happy with that! Pictures will follow after we get it cleaned and set up! :)

So here is the new tank. I think they love it! They one that we were going to get off of CL was cracked even though I asked repeatedly if it was or not (grrrrr)! Anyway, Petco had this for 50% off. Couldn't pass it up. We are going to get some dollar store fake plants soon.

It was just the brand that was on sale. Zilla Critter Cage. I wish we could have afforded the REALLY big one, but alas no.... :( They were pretty picked over on the sizes, I'm glad we snagged one!

They seem to be a really great product. I like the sliding cover. Makes me feel better that they aren't all going to gang up and push the top off. They are strong and smart!

They are! That's all I have for my snakes. 2 Zilla 20 gallons, one which the Zilla staff replaced for me when it was broken, and a 15 gallon Zilla. I like that you can lock them, too The only escape I've had on one with the lid properly on, was Thumbelina, he suction cupped himself to the side, and since he was so tiny, he fit right thought the liiiittle gap. I caught him in the act though. He got a little bit of a spanking (a joke, but I did tap his tail really softly)

My husband made a new toy for them today. A piece of 1in oak dowel, with holes drilled in it and small maple dowel in the holes. It makes a lattice work bridge for them to play on. I think we are going to intertwine some fake ivy on it too. He just put it in the tank and they are already playing on it.

I bet they love that contraption:D
Is it all glued together? Or do you let them build it on their own.:D

Of course she let them! Why would you deprive them of that delightful experience?

No glue, it's friction held. They LOVE it!!

Now that is a very good climbing idea. Being a cabinetmaker with all this scarp woods why didn’t I think of something like that. Simple, easy to clean, and very functional.
I have found numerous pieces of Madrona and used that. However, your husband’s idea is more in my shop. TY.
