Birth on hand :D

I reached into my tank and my girl came right to my hand and moments later she just laid there on it and started giving birth to 26 babies :D no still births. I am so happy out of about 92 babies in total I've had in the last few days only 1 was a death. I thought for sure the ratio was higher but I guess not :)

yes lol and I didn't know she was about too then when she did I was too scared to move and disturb her so I kept my hand there till she was done :D

that and I was wrong twice posting pictures of some of my garters I thought might be gravid and everyone was like "um...uh...just no...lol" so this time I decided I'd shut up and wait to see if there was a birth and oh my has there ever been lol

I didn't time it but easily a half hour if not more, my arm and hand is cramped but it's worth it

There is thing like getting to watch them have babies!!! It's so cool... One time I was giving some people a tour of my snakeroom and one of my garters started giving birth right then. It was awesome to have everyone watch... And I even took a few out and broke the sac for them so that everyone could watch them take their first breath!

letting 99% of them go in the wild as they are native to my area and I cannot find homes for them even free

I had to do that to 1 who I thought was going to drown in it , either that or she was being lazy :P and wouldn't come out
