I had my flame in with my albino male the last two weeks of december.I got four babies all alive today.Over four months and 10 days.I thought for sure I was getting slugs.

Garter snakes store sperm, in captivity they are recorded to have given birth several years after the male has been separated from the female! I suppose its a preservattion thing, ( "I'll just store some of this in case all the men dissapear!")

Hey that's great!:D That is an awful long time, are the babies unusually large or something that they had to "cook" extra long? Very interested to see what that coupling has produced as well.

About 120 days is the upper end of a "normal" gestation range if the temperature is low, but it IS unusually long for T. sirtalis. Do you recall the most common (modal) temperature during gestation?

I had a basking light. the temp under the light was 85 average.Found 3 more babies crawling around my basement.I have boafile cages.They squeezed thru the gap in the door.

Congratulations!!!! Maybe the melanistic female will pop out some late babies!!!!!
