Well, if you want him to learn to tolerate handling, you shouldn't put him down for pooping or biting, it rewards that behaviour, and he'll keep doing that when he wants down.

My snake has a "meaner" way of telling my to put him down.

He's a little 6 inch flame baby, very calm. But when wants down, he just casually, turns, and gently bites me:D

"alright, I've 'nuff of this, it was fun and all, but CHOMP"

Hades does that too. I check on his lip when he rubs it on stuff, just in case, and he just likes to chew away on my hand.

Garters are smart, they know its you feeding them. I hand fed my babies up until about 6 months ago, when Snap started getting overzealous and trying to eat my fingers.

Quick question though... How much Night Crawler / Silver Side should I be feeding him a day?

I wouldn't feed daily... Maybe a few worms and fish every 3 days...

Enough to make a bulge, at least every 2 days. Or, as a rule, feed him enough to make a bulge (small) in his belly, then after it's gone, then wait a day after that. That's how I do it with my babies.
