I highly doubt it since 1. It is endangered
and 2. It seems like something that garter people would want, and I haven't seen them for sale ever.

Yeh, these guys are a protected species, so you're really not going to find any for sale anywhere.

Well, i did a bit of research, and they are supposed to be found throughout all North America.
Now, you tell me, what's this? I passed by it last week, it did kinda bug it it was a little bit darker than the other ones i saw, and it was bigger as well.

Click the picture, to get a better (bigger) look at it.
The other have of the snake can't be seing due to the fact that cant be shown due to my leg.
But who knows, maybe it was just one big T.Sirtalis Sirtalis.
And, no, i only put enough preassure in my foot so the snake wouldn't slide away (didn't actually stepped on it, I'm not an animal), i wanted to take the picture tho. Kinda funy almost a week after i get to see this post.

What's the location? It could definitely be a sirtalis, but if it's big or not, is not easy to tell. Not big for a female, anyway.
Giant garter snakes are definitely not found throughout all of North America, just in some parts of California.

those are some beautiful snakes. but yes they are very endagered i went looked some stuff up on them after i posted last. there are only numbers of them raning in the thousands. unlike most others garters the millions. poor little buggers they're so cool to. like in wisconsin the ribbon snakes are become extremely rare and there is one breed of garter that is so rare some people don't even know if its extinct or not.
