a great guy !! I know Wayne wouldn't post this himeslf but am taking the initiative for him. Wayne took almost literally a ton of water (around a million gallons) and put it in an almost dried up tadpole pond(s) to save the tadpoles and fish !! I don't know anyone that would take the time or effort to do this, great job Wayne !!

Thanks, I just got done, we took some pics.
Anyways we were out walking the dogs and noticed that the tadpole pond was nearly dried up, the pond is only about 50 feet from the creek, so I ran a 3 inch fire hose into the bog lands and filled it back up.
The forecast calls for rain in a couple days so I will monitor the bog over the weekend and help along as needed.
The wild garters need to eat too ;)

Pics.....
There is about 4 or more species of amphibians in this pool. Toads, frogs, newts and salamanders (minimum)

After about 20 minutes the water level was up over the water basket.

The wetland restored to is "proper" state. The bog covers about 1/3 acre of land total. The sounds at night are relaxing.

Yes Steve, loads of them. A lot of the tadpoles have all 4 legs now, but still have big tails, they need about another week or two before they move on. I will be so happy when my darn pond gets finished.
It was funny, Scott called me on the cell phone while we were pumping water. I came in the house and started checking forums when I found this thread.

Just an update.. There are no tadpoles left, and judging by the abundance of juvenile toads and frogs, the water addition did some good.
The creek dried almost completely up, left a load of dead minnows, then the rain came back, the water levels are up to normal again.
The weather this year is strange to say the least.. My apple trees all have fruit (early) the "rose of Sharon" that normally blooms in October has had it's flowers already, and some of my hardwood trees are turning "autumn colour" already.
